Supercar Driver Issue 30 // Winter 2019
When we started this magazine over seven years ago, we would never have thought we would make it to issue 30. At the time, our critics would say, “Print is dead, we live in a digital world”, but we persevered with our vision of creating a high-quality publication that would support and enhance SCD membership and we are all very proud of it and hope you are too!
Within issue 30 we bring you some real treats. We introduce our first supercar, a true analogue driver’s car and without doubt a modern classic. We bring you a unique owner’s perspective of a 90s icon, the Jaguar XJR-15 which is essentially a road-legal Group C car but still relatively unknown and unappreciated — this needs to change! We also have an interesting insight into the secret world of the McLaren F1. For our cover feature, we brought together what we consider to be the three best naturally-aspirated supercars of today and Matt looks back at their bloodline to celebrate this sadly dying breed of supercar.
As for events, 2019 is now underway with our New Year Meets having brought together over 200 cars between them for the first event of the year, as well as coverage of our UAE tour and the Brecon Beacons Drive which saw some amazing machinery take to the Welsh roads.
